Yes, I agree, but it was just on TCM a few weeks ago. Now, they should be airing Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte.

I thought the baby Jane act was so strange. I mean when she was a child. Of course it's an old movie. The entire story was actually pretty strange. I've seen Hush Hush but don't recall it lol so I'll have to watch it again.

Eastern =it was on around 3-6pm. Maybe they will show it again.

Betty Davis was completely magnificently insane!

I think she deserved that Oscar but Anne Bancroft was great in Miracle Worker too. But I think Patty Duke's performance was even greater and she did win for best supporting actress-the youngest ever to win an Oscar at the age of 16. I will never forget her performance in that as Helen.

and interesting, I just read that Helen Keller also received an Oscar for her own performance in the documentary about her life.

They did show Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte I think last week.

I thought it was gruesome, even more than Bates Motel! I was surprised it had so many oscar nominations or that there was so much crazy violence on back then.One critic called it "brutally sickening."

I watched it again just to see BD's acting.......yep it was pretty bad...LOL

Bette seemed to play disturbed woman the best I think.

I have to say I was mesmerized. Bette Davis was fabulous. Just fabulous. She WAS Baby Jane. The Baby Jane she used to be. She played it just right. It's easy to see why this movie was Oscar material. The kids must have loved it.
