Re: What's some of your favorite songs on Commercials?

I can probably count on the fingers of one hand any commercials that are at all palatable... I'm so sick of them I don't know what to do... Most of them just get more and more obnoxious, noisy, frantic, crude, moronic, redundant, whatever... and they just go on and on and on... Anymore, it seems like there are seven or eight commercials for every twelve minutes of show... I detest them... I realize I'm not their target demographic, which is a good thing, since they rarely influence my buying habits other than to avoid 'elective' products whose commercials annoy me the most... In some instances, any attention is not good attention, it seems...

Right you are, Annabellethecat, you can't beat Gaynor!   Whenever a topic like this comes up, I have to post this classic Mitsubishi commercial, with Bobby Caldwell soulfully crooning "What You Won't Do for Love".    I also like the visual atmospherics of the ad, with a young woman getting in her car after dark, and smoothly spooling through a city after a rain and under a GIGANTIC moon...  But it's the music that makes it:

Love the song they play on the Diet Coke "Economy Class" commercial. Have no idea who sings it but it's a catchy tune.

Re: What's some of your favorite songs on Commercials?

We usually DVR most of the shows we watch and FF through the commercials; however, there is one that I can watch over and over again.

It's the ad for the Energizer bunny where this big pink bunny wearing black sunglasses and blue flip flops is dancing around playing his drum.

That's about the only one I care to watch so far.

I love this!Heart

It is a commercial about a family travelling across the country together.

It was a bit sad though at the end.

The K Mart commercial with the song: "Din Dada."  First heard it in one of the "Breakin'" movies from the '80s.

Song: "Great" by Tony Rogers

To a point I was good

Tried to do stuff that I should

Tried to do what you said

Tried to sleep in my own bed

But my bones wouldn't rest

‘Til I put me to my test

And I remembered what you said

That I could be great

(let it right out)

So so great

(let it right out)

I could be great
