Re: What Is Your Favorite Movie Kiss?

Good question!

Because so many film kisses are more like assaults than kisses, I'm inclined to go with one that has all the elements.

Kissable lead actors (Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan)

A romantic setting (91st Street Gardens, Upper West Side, New York)

Over the Rainbow -- the Harry Nilssen version

A Golden Retriever named Brinkley

If you haven't already guessed, it's You've Got Mail.

But also in the running are most, if not all, of the kisses between Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess in a little-known 2011 film, One Day.

A sweet film with a lovely soundtrack. Heart

I enjoyed all the answers!

My favorite movie kiss is in the 1968 Romeo and Juliet movie where Juliet kissed her Romeo to get some of that sweet poison that killed him, very impactful.

OMG HOW did I forget....Father Debricassart and Meg in The Thornbirds!! When she's at the beach house island, after her divorce...he shows up, chases her down the beach as she's resisting him....until...she doesn't..they fall to the beach together...sigh.

I rewatched The Thornbirds during pandemic...❤️ It's just. so. good.

YES!!!  The TB also has one of my favorite NON-kissing scenes:  when, at a party, Ralph is in the midst of a conversation when he spots Meggy coming down the staircase in her ashes-of-roses-colored dress...he can't take his eyes off her, and realizes for the first time that she's now a woman, no longer a girl.  Left me weak in the knees!

Another good kiss was Meg Ryan in "French Kiss" where she is asleep in the tran and rolls over and kisses Robert (?) Kline but she imagines it's her boyfriend.

I love that movie!

I am a stupid head Cat LOL  It's not Robert Klein in French Kiss it's Kevin Klein.

Re: What Is Your Favorite Movie Kiss?

There are so many great movie kisses, I have a list.  However, I will choose the one between Kim Novak and Bill Holden in my most favorite movie, Picnic.  The dance they did to the theme song Moonglow equaled that kiss for me!!!!!!!

@spiderw

I love that movie...had forgotten that scene.

The song is perfection...The celebration where this happens is called "neewollah" which is Halloween backwards!

When I heard KN say this in the movie, I just had to laugh...my birthday is Halloween and I had pondered what an odd word it was spelled backward!
