TV and Movies

Since I caught this bug that everyone seems to have right now, I've been weak and woozy.  Can't do anything requiring sustained concentration.

In the past, I found that "guilty pleasure" TV has a tranquilizing effect!   I can never watch the Lifetime Movie Channel when I'm well, but it has a soothing, undemanding quality as "bacground" when I'm sick..  I think episodes of "I Love Lucy" work, too.

But now I've found episodes of the classic TV detective show, "Barnaby Jones" on youtube, and it makes a wonderful background for lying listlessly in bed and sipping chicken rice soup. I reocmmend Barnaby Jones to private eye aficionados when they are under the weather....

Do you have particular viewing preferences when sick?

I'd rather just listen to music / read or nap.  I tune into the Soundscape Music Choice channel or take out some CDs.

Definitely guilty pleasure stuff. Real Housewives, I check out On Demand, look for funny movies. Once I was very ill and watched several episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Don't tell anyone.

When I am not feeling well I rarely watch TV. But if I do that is when I tune in the shopping networks. I usually end up watching the inside of my eye lids LOL ZZZZzzzzzz!
