Another take on why WW fainted...

I can also vouch for fainting from marital strife -- happened to me with my first marriage that furiously imploded quickly.
There I was, unceremoniously on "the throne," when I blacked out in our apartment. My "beloved" then-husband panicked, tried to get me to come alive with coffee and kept walking me in circles in our living room.
In desperation and fear, he called 911 and an ambulance took me to Georgetown University Hospital. The ER staff was young, and this was the time that drugs were new and the usage was cresting among the young. I will never forget they kept questioning me on whether or not I had taken any drugs (I would not have known "weed" if it slapped me in the face, mind you), and I grew weary of such questioning. I guess it did not help that I was in a leopard-print caftan when I took to fainting. With my long dark hair and attire, I must have looked "hip" or whatever.
There I was, unable to stand and exiting from life by swooning. It was caused by the toll of the marriage woes.
ETA: I am not a fainter by nature, yet this is the second incident I posted on this thread. For me, not eating properly and being under extreme duress can cause me to faint. If it could happen to me, I suppose it could happen to others such as Wendy Williams.

I don't even know what that means? None of my 50-something year old friends faint. Is that what I have to look forward to when I turn 53? LOL
@Lipstickdiva I think she was referring to menopause and hot flashes. It was referred to in one of the articles I saw about this.
@Laura14, that I get but using that as an excuse for fainting is what I'm not getting. I don't know anyone who faints from hot flashes or menopause.

I don't believe that she just went home after the EMT's checked her out. She's a multi-millionaire and very health conscious. Don't you think she scheduled an MRI or some other tests with a specialist after she left? She wasn't worried really?

Years ago, when I was a Weight Watchers leader, we were required to test a new program that was severely limited in calories. I remember getting up from my desk at work and feeling like I was about to pass out. Fortunately, I was able to grab my desk and steady myself but I knew right then and there that I had been starving. Needless to say, I refused to continue participating in that experiment. Women on TV and in movies are under immense pressure to be thin. My daughter had a friend in TV and she told my daughter that she and everyone else in the media just don’t eat.
I agree.

I almost fainted once. And sadly, I was living alone at the time.
Under the category of TMI, lol: I hadn't had a BM for a week and was feeling miserable so I took a Dulcolax (sp?). This was right after work that day. By 10 pm, I was feeling worse so I drank half a bottle of magnesium citrate. In the middle of the night, I woke up in excruciating pain. Went to the bathroom, nothing except profuse sweating and light headedness. Got off the throne and could barely stand. Suddenly had to throw up. As I went back to bed, I had to hold on to the wall. I started to see black, going in and out of my vision. I crawled into bed literally dripping wet. Ten minutes or so later, feeling terrible, I crawled back to the toilet. Very scary experience.
My lesson was to never mix those two laxatives again. It was also scary realizing that if I'd needed help, there was no one there.

@Mmsfoxxie You almost perfectly described what happened to me when I broke my wrist. It's very scary when you know you need help and your body is rebelling in a way you don't understand and you are all alone. Glad you are okay.

Wendy was on GMA this morning in an "exclusive" interview but I had to leave for work before she came on. Anyone see it?

@Lipstickdiva Yes. She basically said she got hot and the doctors told her she was dehydrated. They gave her electrolytes and she saw her doctor and she has been told she is fine.

She has a thyroid condition.(Wendy Williams).
