We're setting here watching Shane.

(This is the movie with Alan Ladd).  Neither of us have seen this movie all the way through.  My husband said he doesn't think he read the book in school like he was supposed to either.  He said if he had to do a book report on it he probably got it off the back cover.  I said, I suppose you think you were the only kid that did that. We had to laugh about the poor teacher listening to 30 book reports all the same.

I read the books I had to, he on the other hand, was not a big reader.  We had a big laugh over that. So long ago!!

Shane is such a moving Western--  love Alan Ladd and Jean Arthur, and the feeling of the lonely, magnificent West that comes through in that film...

Great Western Movie. Shane's mention about a gun being a tool and as good as the man using it is something to ponder today.

Re: We're setting here watching Shane.

In his heyday nobody could touch that beefcake. I 'd run home from school to catch him think I was 10 maybe not sure been to long ago.

Hard to believe in this day and age but back in the 50's and 60's all that

was on the TV was Westerns like Cheyenne, Sugarfoot, Bat Masterson,

Maverick. Stuff our kids watch our days..................

Enough said

Oh, good, @cowboy sam, another one of us!  At some point, I want to do a thread about great vintage Western TV series.   Have been catching "Gunsmoke" on both MeTV and on INSP channel when I can....
