Watching The Bletchley Circle

This is such an entertaining show that many may have already discovered.

It is about 4 brilliant women who work at decoding during WW2 and their job is top secret.

When the war ends, they then use their skills to help solve injustices and crimes that are botched or furthered by corrupt police. They find evidence by using all their skills they used during the war.

All the characters are so likeable and the storylines so well written.

There are not that many episodes so it doesn't go on forever.

On Amazon Prime (free!) if you have it.

@on the bay  I watched it years ago on  PBS and always enjoyed it.

I agree. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned something about history. I love Anna Maxwell Martin who played Susan Gray. She's been in a lot of British series.

Re: Watching The Bletchley Circle

Good show, as was the San Francisco version. Since PBS relies so heavily on repeat programming, I wish they'd be more selective and perhaps choose to show all these shows. My local PBS stations, and I suppose we're lucky to have several, have all been offering pretty weak programming now for some time. They've almost ceased to be much of an entertainment resource.

I've heard that from many others too.

My mother also says tcm has all the same movies over and over.

But I watched the Bletchley Circle on Netflix.

Streaming is a whole new world!

I loved Season 1 but I didn't care for Season 2. They are separate stories and you don't need to watch Season 2.

There is a sequel Bletchley Circle: San Francisco.  I have not watched it yet, but it has good reviews.
