Watched The Manchurian Candidate ( Denzel)

I think Angela Lansbury (in the original) does a much better acting job than Meryl Streep.

Altho I am a big Denzel fan I still prefer the original,or as Mama Cass said, the original is still the greatest.

The original was extraordinary. I love Denzel too, but the remake can't compare.

I didn't even know there was a remake.  The original was on TCM last night with an introduction by Jamie Lee Curtis speaking about her mother's role in the movie.  

 

She followed it with Sweet Smell of Success with her father Tony Curtis.  I like to listen to the intros to movies that TCM does.

 

And as much as I like Streep, Angela was perfect in that role.

@Group 5 minus 1 I've watched the original 3 times. I don't "do" remakes of any kind.

@Love my grandkids I enjoy remakes. I like comparing. FIlms are kinda my hobby and that is why I enjoy watching the remakes.
