I always thought of Walter Cronkite as a REAL newscaster.  The one's today....ugh!  Plain and simple...ugh!

Walter Cronkite was a big deal when I was growing up.  I remember watching him and also Huntley and Brinkley.  They are no newscasters today that even come close.  Well maybe Rachael Maddow she seems to facts to back up her segments.

Agree with you about Ms. Maddow.  Also find Shepard Smith to be a well-researched and credible news reporter.

When I watch the T.V.news,  I think Walt must be incessantly rolling over in his grave at the state of news reporting today.

That's for sure. And not only at the state of news reporting.

Interesting timing for this show; his birthday would have been Saturday! We're both November 4'ers....

There's nobody on the air today comes close to Cronkite imo, that being said though, the days of having one person tell you what to believe are over, thankfully.

24/7 news had ruined journalism, IMO.
