Anyone watch the season premiere last night?
I've seen Manny somewhere before and I'm not sure if it was on another cooking show or what. Kimberly was on Worst Bakers and she lost a lot of weight so glad she mentioned it.
I'm watching for the contestants and not for Anne or Robert. She needs to retire from this show and let someone else compete.
I'm not sure if a lot of these cooks are serious but Sara sure was and did a great job in paying attention.

I usually record this program because I always fall asleep before the end but I cancelled the recording because I can't stand Robert Irvine. Something about him makes my skin crawl.

You are right @grandma2pkmh. Mr. Irvine started his US career with a completely false resume claiming that while serving in the English Navy, he frequently was called to personally cook for the royal family. That among other outrageous and patently false claims. The royal family representatives finally told him to knock off the misrepresentations regarding them, as well as other assertions regarding his overblown assignments with the Royal Navy. He had restaurants in bankruptcy, as well as being sued by landlords for non-payment of rent - all while "fixing" broken restaurants on TV. His personal life is another cup of tea - check into that if you like, I won't here because I'll get roasted and, I suppose, it really is none of my business.

It's fine to voice your own opinions about the chefs but this post was to talk about the show.

In defense, Robert and Anne ARE the show!
The participants are people who are outragious and can make a 5 minute meal into an hour show.
At first, it was funny but every season, it appears to be more and more staged.
Robert Irvine isn't the right person for this show, he cannot tolerate subpar baking or cooking. He was just on Chopped and told the participants with a stern warning to do better because what they gave him doesn't cut it.

@Just Bling You are right. He IS part of the show. I can't stand him and while I used to enjoy Anne, she's much less tolerable to me lately. I also think the Food Channel seeems to recycle their contestants. I know I'vee seen a lot of the same people on different shows. Will not watch this because of Robert Irvine.

I imagine the episode recorded last night, but I haven't watched it yet. I saw, on the promos, that Irvine is with her this season. I cannot stand him either. Not only because he cheated to get where he got, but he just generally creeps me out.
I might end up passing on this season because of this.

I quit watching years ago, just couldn't take any more of Anne. And can't stand Robert Irvine.

I read why contestants are "recycled" not only on Food Network but shows like Survivor, Big Brother etc.
It's a lengthy process to actually be "checked out" and once you are in the "system" you are more likely to get called back for other shows.
