this is a bit of a Los Angeles story as Randy Schoenberg (her lawyer) and family are quite prominent here including seriously endowing a local museum on the Holocaust. He is a lawyer who has specialized in retrieving art etc looted by the Nazis. interestingly he is the grandson of two well-known Austrian composers Arnold Schoenberg and Eric Zeisl.

Jewish philanthropist Ronald Lauder bought the Woman in Gold portrait for

135 million to display at his museum, Neue Galerie in New York.  

 

The other Klimt paintings sold for another 192 million.
