This brand does have a particular point of view.  Actually seems more geared to the male POV.

I would love to see the reaction to a flip POV.  See a guy do this in all its glory.  They do you know 😌

I rarely  see commercials for Men  issues....they are far and few. And they have PLENTY of issues!

I wonder why?

You're right about that.  I've been waiting from 1 century to the next for a "jock itch" commercial.  However, I'll settle for this.....

Several months ago there was a thread very similar to this and  I commented on one of the women product commercial my post was deleted.

That being said, I dont understand why some items even have to have commercials.  For example TP, everyone uses it and buy's it so why the need for advertise?  Same with women monthly protection, all women use and buy it why advertise it?

@Imaoldhippie

To make the consumer aware that their product is different from the competition.

Why advertise socks, or shoes?

We all know that they go on the feet.

Why advertise laundry detergent?

We all know that it goes in the washing machine to clean clothes.

And that's why they advertise feminine hygiene products and toilet paper.

To make the consumer aware that their product is different from the competition.

It really is as simple as that.

I'm really happy they got rid of those Viagra commercials...that and Cialis, too. Now it's ads for ED clinics..."Come see us today and have sex tomorrow" icon_rolleyes.gif

It's yet another commerical to convince women that there is something wrong with us just being natural, pressure to do something unnecessary.  There is so much pressure on women to be perfectly groomed and to put so much effort into it, more than for men.  Men aren't pressured near as much.

That 'gush' one is way too much.

Although I must admit we all know that feeling.

'Still'.........

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@SeaMaiden Because some woman in some boardroom somewhere is stupid enough to go along with it.

When I first saw that commercial that *gasp!* mentioned pubic hair, I started laughing, because I knew that the women here would be clutching their pearls, and fainting from shock over the words "pubic hair", and that it was only a matter of time before a thread was started about it.

There have been commercials in the past that showed a female shaving her bikini area, and the voice over would say "Bikini line", which is code for pubic hair.

The commercial is geared to females who are in their 20's, and they don't have the same hang-ups about such things like their grandmas do. Hence, the "What the gush" commercial.

Heck, it was a shock in the 1980's when a pre-Friends Courtney Cox did a commercial for Tampax, and said the word "period" for the first time.

We've come a long way, baby!😄

@Anonymous032819   Bikini line "maintenance" goes back to the early 1970's when waxing became popular over electrolysis and depilatories.

Of course not on TV but in many "women" magazines.

This woman is hardly over-exposed.  First, she is wearing her bikini bottom and let's face it-whether 20 or 70 - if you wear a bathing suit you don't want to go out with pubic hair showing.

It's about going out in a bathing suit, not about pleasing a man.  I don't know where some of you are getting that.

A bathing suit.  I don't see any man admiring her bikini line after she shaves FTLOG.

As far as the "gush" commercial-I have to admit I was a bit surprised by it but it's something most have experienced.

Let's face it-many of us had very limited feminine products back in the day, for size and flow options.

I think some are stuck back in the day when menstruation was a hidden part of being a woman and have since left the building (menopause) with those ideas alongside.

As far as "manscaping"-so what.  Perhaps it's more cooler and healthier for some men.

ED commercials-it's not like they show before and after demonstrations.

If a commercial leads to a man conferring with a doctor-great.  Because ED isn't all about sex-it can indicate other health issues.

Seriously.  These commercials do not shock me.  The "gush" one did take be aback a bit the first time but it's just no big deal anymore.

Everyone can be offended or not-that's on each individual.

But I am laughing at the ones who won't buy those razors-either you don't need them, don't wear bathing suits, or secretly do use hair removal products.

I guess I'm not a complete fan of the Venus tv commercial, but, actually, I have a feeling that many of us and viewers will give it a try!

When it's on sale.  Maybe with a cupon.
