Promised is tonight's episode.  If you dare:

sneak peak

Looks as though we'll see another episode that includes events in Kattagutt,

Wessex, and Paris.  I'm eager to see what will happen with Mercia.  Is Magnus Ragnar's son?  And will Ecbert and Aelle protect Princess Kwenthrith in  hopes of avoiding trouble with Ragnar.  I'm not sure Judith's father, given his hatred, is eager to accommodate Ragnar.

I'm fairly certain that I read that historically Aelle kills Ragnar by pitching him into a snake pit.

Wonder if there will be any partying in the "love shack" this epi????

I am still 173836.gifat Ragnar swinging from the "love shack" beams upside down.

This show is called Vikings.  I wish they get back to them raiding, pillaging & raping across Europe.

It appears this season is about how the Vikings assimilated Europe.

According to the legends.  Another legend is that Ragnar died from a combination of Cholera and wounds he sustained from trying to invade Paris which we saw last season only he was seriously injured.

From what I read, it is hard to prove that Ragnar actually existed.  Historians believe Ragnar is comprised of severial Viking kings/warriors.  However, all of his sons are actual historical figures.  At least the historians have found based on written records, they all had the same father.  As to who their father was exactly, it is a matter of legend - no written records to confirm.

We cannot get enough Vikings.  It's one of, if not the best series ever.

My sister and I spend Thursday evenings texting each other while watching the episodes.

I don't know that many people who watch, despite the fact that I've told friends and family how much I enjoy this series. I think they would be hooked if they watched, even this late in the series.

I never watched Downton Abbey, but I am binge-watching this week. Wonder what it would be to binge-watch  Vikings?

Wow!!!!!  Don't think that Ivar will get the "plays well with others" on his report card!!!  That scene surprised me. even more surprising was his mother's  reaction.

Also, Lagertha's wedding was a twist, although not entirely surprising.

Guess "love shack" and "crack house" are vying for the name for Ragnar's retreat.

I didn't understand the wedding death scene.  If she had wanted to kill him she had plenty of opportunity in Paris.  Why at the wedding?  Was wondering of it was a shameless scene stealer from Game of Thrones.  And all of Ragnars sons were actual historical figures.  I also read that Ragnar was killed in England.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is going to be in the cast starting next season. I can't wait for that, I love him. Think he is a great actor, loved him in the Tudors.

@Deanie  I think Lagertha wanted to be sure she would survive after Kalf was killed. In Paris, Kalf's soldiers may have avenged his death.  I believe that the scene with Lagertha conducting drills with the other shield maidens was preparation in case anyone challenged Kalf's death.

@Irshgrl31201  Loved Jonathan Rhys Meyers on The Tudors!

Can't wait to see what role he will play.

That is a good take on it and makes sense. And, I think overall, all the acting is incredible.
