Upload is a new show on Amazon Prime, it's ten episodes ( first one was 45 minutes the rest are about 30 minutes). It takes place in the future, 2033, there are driverless cars( you would think cars would fly by then)! The concept of the show is interesting, before you die your essence is uploaded, you are on another plane of existence. You kind of never die, you live in a paradise of your own making and your living loved ones can keep in touch with you. I liked the show, it was left opened for another season.

I binged it last week and have mixed reactions. The characters were engaging and entertaining, if a bit stereotyped. And both the physical world and the computer-generated world seemed pretty dysfunctional. But exploring the concept of life itself is always worth a look, and always have potential. Series like this seem to need time to find themselves, so I'll watch another season if there is one.

@KaySD I love the concept of being able to have contact with a deceased loved one, you wouldn't miss them as much.

I finished streaming this last night and enjoyed it a lot.  I can see possibilities for more seasons with interesting story lines including the main characters in this season and new characters. Some of it was a little soap opera-ish but in time and some polish, it can become a big hit.

I watched the first episode and while it was enjoyable, there was something about it that made me very uncomfortable. I can't put my finger on it. I'm not sure i'll watch any more of it.

Spoiler
I think Nathan is going to be in Hell now that Ingrid has joined him. His eternity has just gotten even longer!

I enjoyed it very much. I loved the concept and look forward to exploring more if they do a second season. I especially enjoyed the concepts of the haves and have nots in the afterlife and the idea that the account holder controlled your afterlife and could even delete you.

There was one thing I didn't like, which I'll put in a Spoiler because it's about the very end of the last episode of the season.

Spoiler
The ending bothered me because the ex-girlfriend killed herself to be with him, even though she knew he didn't love her. I felt like the character was growing and that set her back to nothing more than a plot device to advance his storyline. I am hoping that there's a season 2 and that we see her grow and evolve in the afterlife and become a stronger character in her own right, not just as a plot device for the man's story.

I wanted to bump this up because I thought it was really good and some may not have seen the thread.
