Top Gun fans - new release June 24

Of course, who knows what's going to happen come June, but I'd love to see the new Top Gun movie. The trailer looked terrific. Hard to believe the first one came out 34 years ago!

I'm almost afraid to see it as the original is still one of my favorite "guilty pleasures."

It was just on TV the other day and I could not resist.

It was just delicous!

The summer I saw it, I bought a huge supply of white tee shirts to wear with everything. It was "Charlie's" uniform.

Kelly McGillis as Charlotte Blackwood was the woman I wanted to be for a LONG time

ETA: Just watched the trailer...Wow! Looks perfect.

I had an opportunity to go aboard the Theodore Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier and watch the jets land and take off.

It made me so emotional, I started to cry! I cry easily, anyway.

No wonder these young men think they can walk on water.

Looking foward to seeing this one.

I loved the original as well. Remember how young Meg Ryan was in that movie? Looking forward to the new one..

Some of the sequel was filmed in Ridgecrest CA at China Lake. I am excited for my many friends in RC as they had a terrible year (two major quakes in July 2019). The trailer looks good!

I loved the original, especially the volleyball game! BUT, I think Kelly McGillis was awful in that role. She was totally unbelieveable. I just don't think she is a good actress.

@Witchy Woman Kelly McGillis lives 20 minutes from me in a small town. I've never run into her. She's gained quite a bit and I'm not sure I'd recognise her.
