@smoochy Boy do I agree. I always find one chef I just can't stand but not this year ha ha.

Buddha needed to be taken down a few pegs. On the last season he really was very arrogant and you could tell early on this time he expected to be c o c k of the walk. I'd love to see either Victoire, Ali or Amar win.

It looks like I am in the minority here, but I can't stand the German chef (Tom).  Last night proved what a jerk he was and he was on the losing team.  He insisted on spending a majority of their allotted funds for himself and left his team scrambling to put together their dishes.  I can't believe no one spoke up about that when specifically asked.

I agree that Buddha needs to be taken down a few notches.  I don't really have a favorite, but I like Amir and the two Canadians.

@DrKelli I thought it was only me that didn't like Tom! I was surprised that he is so many's favorite that I thought I must have hiim mixed up with someone else. He is way more arrogant than Buddha.

@apl_pi14 I didn't like Tom from Day 1.  Buddha seems to have been put in his place a little bit and doesn't seem quite so arrogant.

I can't wait to see what this week will bring.

If no one else does, I'll start a new thread for this week's episode on Friday. Anyone else is free to start it tho Smiley Happy

I don't know if we need a weekly thread for Top Chef--there isn't an overabundance of posting and it's pretty easy to keep up with on this thread.  But that's just my opinion--if someone starts a new one, I'll try to remember to find it.

I can't believe Tom escaped being sent home again!! I was sad to see Dale go.

I guess I'm just not a 'foodie' because sometimes the weirdness makes me say gross.  I don't know how Padma doesn't weigh 300 pounds.

I am actually enjoying this season.  I think the challenges have been a bit different.

I'm definitely not a foodie. Which makes it even more strange that I love chef competitions. Lol. Most things they make sound nasty to me. But I love the beautiful and creative plating. When I call my hubs for dinner I'll holler I'm Plating! Makes him laugh. Then something like baked fish with Mrs Dash, corn on the cob and boiled potatoes-I ask him to describe the favor profile 😅
Dam Sling. It continues to cut in and out. Last night it crashed/froze as the judges were being served Victoires dish. It didn't come back until three chefs were waiting to see which of them was going home. I believe I heard that one of the Middle East guys won? That's cool!

That was a pretty good episode last night.  I think it was a slightly different mis-en-place competition though.  Or maybe I'm thinking about a different challenge--I'm thinking about the one where one chef starts the dish, works for x amount of time, then the next one comes in and has to figure out what the first one was doing and gets x amount of time, then the last one comes in to finish.

In any case, it was good, I thought Sarah would be going home, but it was the other guy, not  Amar (I don't know all their names yet).
