Top Chef LA - Premiered 3/19

I'm not a fan of all star anything.

Pretty boring so far.

Re: Top Chef LA ALL STARS 2020- Premiered 3/19

loved it......my daughter is home from college.

we watched it together last night.

always sad to see the first person go home, but it was the correct choice.

so enjoy a good mise en place race......and some of them sure did struggle.

off to an enjoyable start!

Re: Top Chef LA - Premiered 3/19

It's been a long week and I was exhausted so I went to bed and didn't see it.  I looked at who was eliminated and was sad.....one of my favorite chefs ever.

I enjoyed it too, didn't think I would, all are older, wiser, and hopefully better.  Brian Malarkey drove me nuts, just took over the team, then didn't perform well.

[ Edited ]

I just came on here to start a thread.  Thanks for starting this.

I love TC no matter if it's All-Stars or not.  I recognize a lot of people and then there are some that I wish weren't on there and some from the earlier shows that looked familiar and then when they flashed back I'm like so that's who that is.  LOL.

I think the wrong person went home but that's JMO.  I dislike team challenges.

There were a lot of judges this first show. Most I didn't recognize.

I thought the wrong person went home, too, but on the Andy whatever show after the judges said it was because he made pizza/flat bread.  His choice of dish is what sent him home.  They felt it wasn't the thing to make on an open flame.

this thread probably needs a SPOILER in the title.....

Spoiler
lee anne should have gone home instead? her dish looked much more appealing to me.

I loved it!  Top Chef really is my favorite show. I am so glad it is back.
I loved all the guest judges at the dinner too!

@VaBelle35 , Mainly, he put too much "stuff" on it, as he did in the season he was on, same mistake.
