@patbz - Thanks for the review. Same things annoy me...for the same reasons. Will not bother watching and will delete my recording.

I guess I really expected it to be Brenda from The Closer promoted to chief of police and it wasn't.

I watched and was disappointed. It is on CBS and always has to have some political agenda. I am tired of these shows trying to make a statement; I get it already you need to shove it down my throat. They could have used robots with more emotion. The characters seem so detached from this show. It is two thumbs down for me.

I guess what you're saying is that the world consists mainly of straight white people, and almost nothing else? Really?
I do think they tried to cram too much into the first episode, but it's the foundation for shows to follow. The setting is the city of Los Angeles, and there will be different nationalities presented in various storylines. It really shouldn't be that difficult for mature adults to deal with.

ITA. Felt they threw everything in that is popular or controversy today. Am tired of everything in your face attitude. I thought it would be a good cop show with a female caption. I Lve in Calf. We have a at least one Tommy police. Captain, in fact two i,m aware of and a now retired Fire Caption.
Also will not watch again.

Everyone has their opinion, you don't need to attack @patbz for theirs.
My beef is this show was promoted as the story of the first female police chief of LA, as we saw over & over again, but we are blindsided by alternative lifestyles. I didn't watch to see "what it's like to be a gay woman inn 2020" I don't care who you sleep with, show me a police story. Even you can understand that. Latino's should be offended by the Arturo Lopez story line. The actor played it like a cartoon character, the story line was 1000% stereotype. The writers are lazy.

@Tinkrbl44 : I am definitely NOT saying everybody has to be straight and white BUT much of weekly t.v. has gone into La La Land fantasy. Btw, I would define myself as a libel and have lots of friends of all persuasions. I originally hesitated to post my comment because I was afraid some (a few) might put your "spin" on it!

@software Patbz was stating a fact, not attacking anyone. Just saying....
"Latino's should be offended by the Arturo Lopez story line. The actor played it like a cartoon character, the story line was 1000% stereotype."
I am 1000% in agreement w/you on that one. The Lopez story line is a direct insult to all Mexicans. Went way beyond being stereotypical. I was shocked to say the least by his "comments."
Otherwise, I enjoyed the show. Will continue to watch to see how everything plays out.
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

First, I didn't "attack" @patbz , but I was rather surprised by her comments.
People aren't living "alternative lifestyles", they are being true to who they are and there's nothing wrong with living authentically. Same sex couples live everywhere, not just in large cities. If you consider seeing this in a character's storyline, it's not "blindsiding" anyone; it's just depicting who they are. No adult should be offended by real life.
