To Kill A Mockingbird - TCM 8:00 PM Sunday

One of the greatest films ever.   I'll be wacthing it again, although I've seen it dozens of times, including at the movies with my mom and grandmother when it first came out.

Love Atticus Finch, love Gregory Peck.  He said it was his favorite role.

Boo Radley = Robert Duvall's first role.

The music in the film is really great - and haunting.

I have it scheduled to record. The movie did well as getting the essence of the book.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

@Shelbelle   I so agree.  As many times as I've seen this film since 1962 - and it's been a lot of times - it still moves me greatly.  I think the ending is absolutely perfect, when Scout narrates that Atticus will be in Jem's room all night and in the morning.

This films stirs so many emotions in me - it's very powerful and I can't help but tear up at the end of it.   So many good scenes, including the one where Jem and Scout are talking about their mother and Atticus is on the front porch scene, clearing missing her as they talked.  Great acting, including the children.

I'd forgotten that the terrific and extremely appropriate music throughout the film is by Elmer Bernstein (Leonard's brother).
