Re: There was an Equalizer before Queen Latifah

I call these "payback" movies.  I'm also a big Charles Bronson fan for that reason.

@Icegoddess  Yes, the reboots have become legion. Personally, I'm passing on most of them and, in fact, I passed on a number of the originals, but the trend seems to bring back these shows, casting them very differently. That said, the original Equalizer was, to me, the preferred interpretation.

Maybe The Equalizer has jumped the shark with the newest interpretation.

I never missed the Edward Woodward Equilizer.    What a great concept.

Similar situation with the series Leverage.    The good guys always win.

I haven't seen any of them except Denzel's Equalizer 1 and 2 and loved them both!

Love both Denzel Washington's and Queen Latifah's portrayal of the Equalizer.  Look forward to future movies/episodes.

Re: There was an Equalizer before Queen Latifah

Edward Woodward was my favorite Equalizer. I liked Denzel in the first movie. I  didn't like the second movie, because it was so very violent.

I just love the Queen in the "new" remake. This follows the old TV show.

It is a shame no one is running the original TV show somewhere.
