Love both of these movies! Titanic was on just a couple of weeks ago. I always bawl my eyes out when the father tells his son, Norman, that he has been proud of him every single day. Sob! and at the very end when dad puts his arm around the son as they wait for the end.
I read The Bad Seed when I was about 12 or 13, my mom had the paperback. LOVED it and have watched this movie at least 10 times. The acting is pretty cheesy but that is what makes it fun!
And I think Eileen Heckert (sp?) won an Oscar for her role. She was really good.
I always disliked that silly out take in which the mom gives Rhoda the "spanking." As the receiver of many harsh and I mean harsh spankings as a kid, that always bothered me tho I knew it was all in "fun".

I have watched this version of Titanic several times, it's one of my favorites. Barbara Stanwyck was so beautiful and so were her clothes.
I've never seen The Bad Seed, though. Looking forward to it.

I must be the only human on the planet that has never seen the updated version of Titanic. Plus I have no intention of ever watching!

@Mz iMac it's not an update, it's a different, totally fiction story as is the first Titanic.
The one based on fact (transcripts of the hearings and passenger testimony and all) is A Night to Remember. The book is great and the movie is great. I loved both.

There are some movies that one never forgets. I remember seeing the original Bad Seed a long, long time ago.
