@goldensrbest   She was visiting the Vyners when she saw the castle and decided to buy it and renovate it.  I guess something to do with her time.  LOL

She did restore it to its original name of  Castle of Mey, too.

I'm not up on all the history so maybe somebody else can expand.

You are not alone in your opinion regarding the new actors! Many think the new actress portraying Queen Elizabeth II, looks too old for the queen's actual age in 1964 which is when the latest season begins.   She gave birth to her last child in 1963, and she was still rather young in appearance.   In addition to looking old, she is rather grim, rarely smiling.

Each part has a different writer from what I have been told. It seems apparent to me that this one doesn't like the 'royals all that much

I certainly liked very little about this segment, least of all the choice of the Queen...I hope the next one is better

This one took great liberties inventing  things that never happened from what I have read...
