@kittiekattie

Agree, I did not watch as much as when it first came on. I to lost interest  and did not watch many episodes or fast forwarded  through some episodes  till they  came across Negan but then  that was so brutal with the bat . I didn't  care for  many of the new cast .

I watched becauseSamathaa Morton  is an excellent actress  so hung in a little longer with the series.

Re: The Walking Dead Series Finale

I very much enjoyed the finale ,  sad some died but happy Judith did make and the commonwealth can go forward in the hands of good people.     I will miss the show after all these years watching .  I am really thrilled to see the spin offs and hopefully they will be good and not just to keep the Show going .  I especially want to see Rick and Michons (sp)? And Daryl's who is my favorite !

I did not watch the last episodes when the show came back fam the winter break, but did watch last night.

I was so sad to see Rosita go, thinking of how young she was so pretty, and having made it so far, and all that she had gone through, now to have her baby, only to die and not be able to raise her.

Yes, of all the people that could have been killed off!

A minor criticism of the show is all the motherless children.

The only intact family is Jerry & Nabila, then after the Commonwealth fell it was Eugene & Max.

I know it's just a show but it hurts my heart

@software   Agree about Rosita.  What a waste to end her character that way!  Now Coco has no mother and Gabriel is alone again.

I always thought Eugene should have gone a long time ago and now he has a future with their own child.  I could never get behind that relationship and that wig they had her wear...........blech.

Re: The Walking Dead Series Finale

I watched The Walking Dead from the beginning. I always thought the first few seasons were the very best. The show suffered when Rick left, and really took a dive after Michonne departed. I still continued to watch, but I stopped right after the character of Princess came on the scene. By that time I grew bored of the show; they brought in new characters that I had no interest in. I also hated that so many scenes took place at night and I couldn't tell what was going on. Plus all the commercials!!

Out of curiosity I did watch the finale and even though I didn't know who some of the characters were, I did enjoy it. I thought they wrapped up the series pretty well.

It was interesting to see the tease of what Rick and Michonne were up to.

A few random thoughts . . . I always thought that The Governor was much scarier than Negan ever was. Negan was a total snooze fest. All the character did was lean his body back and pontificate, Lather, rinse, repeat. They dragged his story out for far too long. Ditto with Alpha and The Whisperers. Negan and Alpha - the two MOST annoying characters. Ever.

I'm glad to see that Ezekiel and Jerry made it out alive.

I also watched The Talking Dead. It was wonderful to see Michael Cudlitz (Abraham) come on stage and present the flowers to Christian Serratos (Rosita). It was so emotional when Ross Marquand spoke of how grateful he was to be on the show and was finding it hard not to break down in tears. I was surprised that Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori) was there. She's been off the show for so long. It was great to see Chandler Riggs (Carl)!! He's so grown up . . . and such a cutie.

Although they didn't appear on the panel, some former cast members were at the finale event, among them Emily Kinney (Beth) and Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon).

Re: The Walking Dead Series Finale

If you feel that background music enhances your viewing pleasure, check out videos by the composer for decades, Bear McCreary.

He deserves an entire Talking Dead episode.   The original opening theme was done with a chamber orchestra.   The theme during S11 is different from S1.    There were instances when he used a full orchestra during an episode.

There are a few times when the music was so appropriate & haunting, like the scene where Rick is talking to bicycle girl, apologizing for what happened to her.  It's called the Mercy of the Living.

If you would enjoy reliving the series through the music, Bear's videos are on YouTube.
