I never watch The View or The Talk for the same reasons. I don't want to listen to a group of women yelling, arguing, interrupting & talking over each other. Didn't we learn in grade school, "If you have something to say, wait your turn"?

I'm not fond ofCandace or Sara (don't know their last names).  I don't like Whoopi because she has to always have the last word and I like Joy most of all.  I also like Jedidiah Bila, although I never heard of her before.  I think she's smart and waits her turn to speak.  I didn't like Raven Symone either.

I think The View is going downhill.  They need to have a panel of the same people every day instead of changing off.  I really don't like Sonny Hostin.  She thinks she's all that and a bag of chips.  She always manages to tell everyone that she's a former prosecutor.  Who cares?  She always reads stats instead of speaking her mind.

Yes, that's because Whoopi is the Moderator and steers the conversation and changes topics as well as going to commercial.  That's her job!

(Didn't you realize there's a Moderator on these shows?  Whoopi on the View and Julie Chen on the Talk.)

I think it was ruined while she still had her hands in it - don't know if she does anymore since retiring from it...I don't watch it anymore, haven't in a long, long time.

I love The Talk, and I don't think it is anything like the View, except they all sit around a table together, but other than that, I don't ever hear any arguing or overly loud talking, they seem to get along very well with each other, even when they disagree. I also happen to like Whoopi and Joy, as I feel they are super smart, very outspoken strong women. The only thing that I don't care for is when there is too much shouting and yelling and you can't hear anyone.

@CANDLEQUEEN, you're right, there is no shouting over each other on The Talk.  But I don't trust that they get along sooo well.  When The Talk first started, there were two other hosts on the show that Chen and the red haired one, and the lesbian one (sorry, I can't remember their names) seemed to get along with the same way.  When the second or third season began, out of the blue, two hosts had been replaced without the replaced hosts knowing anything about it.  Read/heard about it in the media like everybody else.  They were outraged at being stabbed in the back.  How low can you go?  That's show business for you.  Ms. Chen and her husband are the bosses.  "Smilin' faces, smilin' faces tell lies.  They don't tell the truth"  Lines from a song.

The show lost gravitas when Barbara Walter's retired.

I liked the show when Meredith Vieira was on, along with Star Jones and Lisa Ling. I don't seem to remember the talking over one another and shouting when they were on.

I never watch the show now, as others have said, it makes me nervous listening to the overtalking and interrupting...just not pleasant to listen to.

Joy, Whoppi, Sunny Hostin, and occasionally Jedidiah Bila are the only reasons I watch.  Candace and Paula usually fall back on their religious beliefs as the crux of their arguments and did not often recognize that everyone does not share their religious denomination or religion.  Their attempts to present the other side, no matter how irrelevant or incorrect was tiresome. I expect that the show will have its moments as the loyal opposition and bravo for that as fewer are willing to interrogate ideas becoming normalized.

HUH? Not everyone shares Joy or Whoppi's belief so how is that any different?  I admit, I don't watch, I can't stand either one of them.

@Tinkrbl44  Yes, I know what a Moderator does.  I meant I don't like Whoopi because she always has to have the last word (meaning that after she gives her View, conversation is over).  Julie Chen does not behave that way.  Actually, Sharon Osbourne usually has the last word on that show.  This is my opinion and that is yours.
