Wsmom,  Romary.  - if any of you are soap opera fans, Alice was on Another World for many years.  She played Frankie Frame, one of the main characters.

I dont know who Frankie Frame was, but I sure do remember Steve Frame, handsome devil. I stopped watching Another World in the mid 70's when I went to work full time, no VCR's yet. .

I'm having a very hard time understanding why the brutal murder of a woman is being portrayed in such a cartoonish way...Some of the characters are so quirky and the investigation and trial are also being portrayed as very unprofessional and sloppy...I wonder how the family feels about it.

I see where it has been posted that this case was on Dateline...For those who saw it, could you please share with me your thoughts.

@MyShadowLove,

I've thought that was strange too, the way it is being portrayed.

I love Keith the narrators voice who also does dateline but I think the way he narrates lends itself to sounding like a non-fiction mystery thriller type thing.

I don't know why they did it this way either.

I do find I can't turn away from Renee Zellwiger's portrayal with her expressions. She is so obnoxious. And also hard to believe (but maybe not in a small town with corrupt politicians having each other's backs), how they are purposely ignoring the facts and non evidence.Awful.

@Alter Ego,

Gosh I'm so glad you posted about the judge! What a criminal! The lot of them-district attorney, defense lawyer-so disturbing.

@on the bay ...Oh yes, I love Keith Morrison's voice and he is the best part of the show really...I do agree that Renee Zellweger is definitely portraying her role as a very quirky, manipulative and controlling character very well, although I'm sure quite exaggerated...or maybe not...as you mentioned.

It just all comes down to the fact that this is about a real life murder story and that is why some of us are having a hard time with the cartoonish way it which it is being done.

Which episode (the number out of six episodes) aired this past Tuesday?

I missed one or two or more.

Looking forward to whatever is left out of the six episodes.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@MyShadowLove

I watched the original Dateline show but that was way back in 2016. What I remember mostly were the police interviews with her and other news clips about the case. It was nothing like the drama-filled series. The original show was more like a docu rather than a movie and with a lot less detail about personal goings on between the players. That's all made up for the drama of a TV series.
