I saw that one in the movie theater when it came out.  It was strange but entertaining.  Different.

started watching it yesterday but got interrupted and did not see entire movie.  Found it to be strange but interesting.  If it is on again hope to see it.

We saw it either in the movies or at home on our own big screen and yes it was different I knew that from the promo picture but still found it intriguing and interesting to watch.   I believe it represented the early 60's very well, good acting too.

I enjoyed it and Guillermo del Toro did a great job directing it.

I love old Sy Fy movies and The Creature From the Black Lagoon is one of my favorites among many.  I like Del Toro's movies so of course I watched this one.  Sorry to say I didn't care for it and after awhile watching I lost interest.  While the acting was very good, the story line wasn't.  Just my opinion.

Jellybean,

I saw it - a spin on the Creature from the Black Lagoon,  and in my opinion very sad.

I enjoyed it to the extent that the emotion was there from the actors - they did a wonderful job, and it made me empathetic for each character, hence my sadness for their situation.

But when it was over I was left thinking I could've missed the film and been fine for it!

I came across this channel surfing but only saw the last half hour.

Not sure I would watch the entire movie now that I know how it ends, LOL!

I can't believe this movie won for Best Picture simply because this type of movie (fantasy? sci fi?) rarely wins any top honors.

I rented the DVD when it first came out....and I loved it!  Glad to hear it's on FX.  I'll probably watch it again.

got to watch entire movie.  Again strange but interesting.  She accepted creature as he was, she found something in him to love and vice versa.  All about acceptance...overall I liked movie.
