The Newsroom finale

I just watched The Newsroom finale. Boy what a roller coaster ride! I do have one question. What was in that brown envelop that Charlie's wife gave to Don, and Don gave to Sloan? They flashed it too fast for me to see it. I will really miss this show!!!
