The New York Cantors Concert on PBS

PBS has been showing a lot of concerts lately .... I've really been enjoying them.  Folk Music, Folk and Pop, Les Miserables, Country, etc.

Saw a fantastic concert on TV last night - the New York Cantors Concert at the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam.  These men have the most fantastic voices, wonderful orchestra and choir.  From PBS website:

Enjoy beautiful sacred and secular songs from three rising stars on the world’s Jewish music scene. Backed by a 33-piece orchestra and male choir, the cantors perform at Amsterdam’s revered 17th-century Portuguese synagogue.

The final number was from Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"  - Close Every Door.

Re: The New York Cantors Concert on PBS

As challenging as this year has become, we can still find joy in holiday traditions. Just last night, one of the late night hosts welcomed José Feliciano. It was the 50th anniversary of his iconic song, "Feliz Navidad." He sang the song and it was absolutely wonderful. I was tempted to sing along but my husband was sleeping and I didn't want to wake him. Still, it was wonderful to hear that song again. Time has not diminished Feliciano's talent or the beauty of the song.
