The New Season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life

[ Edited ]

I sure miss Babs on the new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. Both Glenn and Babs seem (seemed) to be such sweet people. Whitney seems to be struggling as much as Glenn and Hunter (Whitney's brother). I was glad Whitney went on a blind date, but I truly believe she often tries to self sabotage! Her hair, which often looks beautiful, was pulled up in a "Tuptim-knot" (aka "The King and I"), and she wore an unflattering mumu. I have seen Whitney look absolutely beautiful (she really does favor Babs), so why would she go on a date not looking her best? Self sabotage would be my guess. I hope Whitney eventually finds true happiness. As of now, it seems she is still struggling and searching. Now dealing with the loss of her mother, too, must be overwhelming for her. My heart goes out to the Thor family regarding the loss of Babs.

@Jeanne from VA   I was so sad to hear that Babs passed, she was an absolute delight and such a glamorous and fun lady.  I think that Whitney, Glenn and Hunter are still grieving, but they're showing a lot of strength and spirit looking out for each other and still trying to find brightness in their lives during a time of darkness and loss.  Whitney does seem to self sabotage dates sometimes- she's a beautiful and fun girl and I hope that she does find lasting love someday.   Smiley Happy

I agree. Grief is certainly universal. I often enjoy watching the Thor family & friends because of the love they all seem to share.

@Jeanne from VA   They're such a loving family.  Babs was loved by so many people and the makeup artist for the show loved Babs so much that she did Babs' hair and makeup for the funeral. I never met Babs in real life and only watched her on TV, but I cried when I found out on the news that she passed away- I really liked watching her on the show and I could tell how much she cared about her family and how much they cared about her.  I'm sure she's wearing her favorite signature red lipstick in heaven and watching over her family.  Smiley Happy

JMO, she's very immature, too much into controlling and running her fathers life.

I'm loving the "new" family from Alabama! They are a great addition to the show.

My mom died from the same disease but it was in her heart and liver.  She went to Mayo all the time because she was in so much pain and was never diagnosed until the end of her life.  So much for the fancy high dollar Mayo clinic.  It is a horrible disease and she suffered the last 2 years of her life.

Poor Babs, she was a joy to watch.  I feel bad for the whole family, especially the dad.  He is lost and you can see the depression in his eyes.

I find Whitney extremely annoying but, so far, I'm still watching.

I didn't believe the storyline with Chase and his friend from a few years back was real and felt it was scripted by the production team.  I read some things online, at the time, that didn't add up.  Therefore, I'm having trouble believing the  storyline with Glenn's daughter from Alabama.  I do like their addition to the show but I'm expecting in another year to find out there was a mix up in DNA results or adoption records or however it was confirmed that Angie is Glenn's daughter.

I have a different opinion of Glenn after finding out he has two children that he did not try to find or support.

Re: The New Season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life

I am really turned off by the show this season.  Whitney's mother dies, then they bring in "new" family.  I think it's kind of tacky.  I'm not very impressed with the new "sister." I have only seen bits and pieces, mostly before the big introduction.  I'm crossing this show off my list. (Not that was really ever on it.)
