I'm looking forward to seeing this...is it a movie or series?

I am a Soprano's fan but I really didn't love the movie.  I agree it wasn't really a Soprano's prequel.  I thought the acting was great but I think the story could have been better.

I have been really looking forward to this and will watch it soon.  It's only on HBO Max for the month of October.

I loved The Sopranos and watched it when it was on originally.  I've forgotten a lot about it.

@denisemb   When you go to HBO Max how do you find the 20 minute clip about the characters?  Is it just right there when you find the movie?  I would like to see that before I watch the movie.

Call me crazy, but I could never get into The Sopranos, I gave it a good try, but it never wowed me.

@Shelbelle  Not everyone likes the same shows. I don't like sitcoms and have only watched a very few in all these years and yet, many people love them.

Re: The Many Saints of Newark - Soprano's Prequal

I thoroughly enjoyed "The Many Saints of Newark."

I loved "The Sopranos" and was looking forward to this one for a long time.  Michael Gandolfini did an outstanding job, as did the other characters.

The story dealt more with the Tony Soprano-Dickie Moltisanti aspect because he was the major influence on Tony growing up.  Johnny Soprano was in prison for a very long time during Tony's younger years.

The lighter moments were enjoyable, espcially when Johnny shot Livia's "big hair" when she talked too much.

Loved the ending when we heard "Woke Up This Morning."  I would like to see another prequel from where this ended to Tony becoming a man.

David Chase did an outstanding job.
