TV and Movies

Not for me, now or ever.  I did not even bother to see the cartoon movie, either.

In my opinion Disney takes away much of the seriousness of the fairy tales and makes them just too cutesy.

So sorry they had to bring modern politics into a fairy tale movie!

I  have seen the original little mermaid statue in Copenhagen, which has been attacked and damaged multiple times. Hans Christian Anderson was a brilliant writer.

You're welcome @JoyFilled Warrior! My all-time favorite is Sleeping Beauty too. They haven't remade that, that I know of, yet! I hope they leave it alone!

@beach-mom, regarding the re-make of Sleeping Beauty - Disney made Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning as Aurora.  However, it had a different twist on the story, which I thought was very good.
