The Letter - 1929

This is the version with Jeanne Eagels who was the first person nominated posthumously for an Academy award.  A pre code version, very different from the later, 1940 classic with Bette Davis and directed by the great William Wyler.

 

Worth watching just for the differences from the later version and only 65 minutes long.
