The Fall of the House of Usher

I'm toward the end of bingeing this gem of a horror show.  For fans of AHS, Clive Barker and, of course, Stephen King, this Netflix series is a delightful made for Halloween diversion.  The cast and writing are excellent, offering grisly lessons on the pitfalls of the human condition.

@Indra  I am still binging How to Get Away With Murder and was up until 2am this morning watching it.  I have to make myself turn it off.  I can only binge one at a time but Fall of the House of Usher is my next obsession.  LOVE EAP 🐦‍⬛

glad you enjoyed

Re: The Fall of the House of Usher

I've only watched one episode last night and it's very good and chilling.

The same guy who wrote Mass, The Haunting of Hillhouse and Blyth Manor did this too!

Re: The Fall of the House of Usher

I've read such good reviews about this series.

I love Bruce Greenwood and Mary McDonnell so I'm looking forward to watching it.

Re: The Fall of the House of Usher

I was really hoping this would be a good series but after watching 2 1/2 episodes I found it to be very slow, boring, and with no real character or plot development.

My opinion only, of course. It just wasn't for me.

Re: The Fall of the House of Usher

In the first 30 minutes of the show, there was a scene were they were doing a medical experiment on a monkey.  That scene was very upsetting to me and I stopped watching.

Bruce Greenwood is an excellent actor, but this series wasn't my cup of tea.

I've only watched the first episode.  It seems interesting so far.

Re: The Fall of the House of Usher

Did not care for TFOTHOU.  It was too convoluted for my taste.  A wastefull 8 hour binge of my valuable sleep time.  Took me 7 hours to realize...

Spoiler
the name Verna is an anagram for Ravan.

I much perfered the movie House of Usher w/Vincent Price.

Re: The Fall of the House of Usher

I could not get into it.  Watched the first two episodes then bailed.  I don't know what kind of accent Mary McDonnell was going for, but it drove me crazy.  I know that it is very successful and has a lot of viewers.  Enjoy!
