@GinaIB this was more of a longer coat, not a jacket without a hood.

The style of the coat is called a 'walker' or 'walking' coat.

Other classic coats are called pea coat (shortest) , car coat and overcoat (longest). Walking coats are mid-length between a car coat and an overcoat.

It doesn't say much for the movie The Christmas Contest when the only thing anyone liked about it is were the coats Candace wore in it. I wasn't interested in the coats, but the movie wasn't very good. None of the "what is the meaning of life" dialogue made no sense to me. I found it too shallow, even for Hallmark.

I have been enjoying the Lifetime Christmas movies much more than Hallmark ones so far this season.
