I wonder if they have not revealed her last name because to the geniuses, she is a nobody and therefore not a whole person. Wouldn't it be hilarious if her last name turns out to make her a descendant of some obscure scientist whose findings are finally given the recognition they deserve?

This evening there was a 'Penny"" category on Jeopardy! Among the correct responses: Penny Black.

Oh, no, MamaWick, I didn't mean to mislead you. The category "Penny" didn't refer to TBBT's character, but rather compound words containing the word "penny." For example, the game of shuffleboard was once known as "shovel penny" and later "shuffle penny." I can't remember any of the others due to major brain fog from finally getting my taxes done. BORING! BRAIN-NUMBING! (but necessary).

I couldn't find it either. They mentioned Penny's mail had the name London on it, but that probably isn't it. Basically I think they don't want us to know for some reason. I do know it's been renewed for 3 more seasons which is apparently unheard of.
