My husband is watching the Barbie on HBO Max right now.

I cracked up, this is funny. He watched the Wolf of Wall Street last night.

Re: The Barbie movie is on HBO

We love movies-most all movies. But we quit about half way through. I guess if we had been captured at a theatre vs home we might have finished it.

We have it available on our cable system for $5.99 for 2 days.  Think I'll wait for it to get to TCM!!!

@KingstonMom   It's on in the background and it is a dumb movie...mindless for sure.

I watched it. It was kind of cute but not a great movie. I'm glad I saw it for free. I did experience nostalgic moments about my Barbie and her outfits.

Re: The Barbie movie is on HBO

@Mindy D   I had a Barbie.  I had to share her with my sister.  She had no purchased clothing except for the swimsuit she came wearing.

We used to borrow my father's handkerchiefs to wrap and make clothing with straight pins and used those terry cloth cozies you put around drinking  glasses for condensation to wear as dresses and skirts.

We had a lot of fun back then.  My parents weren't poor, but never spent much money on toys.

It was one of my favorite toys, though. Those were good days.
