Re: The Art of Racing In The Rain

They made some changes to the movie. The dog was a mixed breed in the book and the manipulative event in the book was totally different from the one in the movie. The movie was OK but the book is a lot better.

A great movie. Watched it on HBO and loved it.

Enzo is a beautiful dog(s).

A great touching ending as well.

Re: The Art of Racing In The Rain

I saw it premiered on HBO last night and deliberately avoided it, as I did when it was on theaters. I learned my lesson as a child with Old Yeller and decades later, with that dog film with Jennifer Aniston whose title I can't think of now. It's another one I wish I'd never seen. 😥 I'm a major dog lover. 🐶🐾

Re: The Art of Racing In The Rain

One of my Goldens looked just like Enzo. I lost her almost 22 years ago,  Just seeing the coming attraction for this movie made me choke up.  I'd like to watch it, but I'm thinking this might not be the right time, with my emotions high as it is these days.

Pearly - The movie with Jennifer Aniston was Marley and Me.  I literally couldn't catch my breath from crying so hard.

Wish I had read this thread before watching.  Wasn't in the mood for such a sad movie, but loved the dog and the performances were excellent.  Sweet ending.
