They started filming in March 2020, did three legs then shut down for covid, then resumed in September 2021. It was about eighteen months between the stop and start.

I thought it was interesting that one couple met on line and I got the impression they just met to do the race.

One of the teams that didn't know who Boris Johnson is are educators in their 40s. :/

I thought it was 1980, oh well. It was still not a good representation of Americans lack of knowledge. 

The same thing happens when the teams go to a foreign country and get indignant when the citizens don't speak English.

Looks like next week we will be down to only 5 teams. According to Wikipedia, 4 of the teams were not able to return when they resumed filming.
