TV and Movies

Can someone explain this show to me? Why is the guy in the basement. When I turn on my local 10 pm news, I see the last few minutes of it. Looks very. Thanks.

@mare54 I don't watch the show because I don't like the concept, but I did watch the first episode.  The guy in the basement kidnapped the black lady and another lady that works with her when they were kids.  At some point the older girl (the other lady) managed to hit him over the head with a skillet I think and they were able to escape.  However, apparently the police didn't put a lot of effort into finding the man to prosecute him, so after she grew up, she found him and is holding him in her basement.  She uses his kidnapping expertise to solve the cases the group she's with works on.  Even the other lady doesn't know that she has him in her basement.

@mare54   He kidnapped the owner of the house when she was a teenager.  She escaped a year or so later.

If you want to know what the show is about, suggest you Google or use your fav search engine for a synopsis.  Show is too convoluted to explain in a post.  Plus the fact you just now found the show FOUND.

@SaveTheTurtles  Doesn't sound interesting to me either. I like Blue Bloods and  NCIS and that's about it. They don't have their new shows on yet.

There have already been 7 episodes, airs Tues at 10 ET on nbc, it is very good with a great cast.  Last nite was one of the best storylines so far.  Sir, the man in the basement is played by Mark Paul Gosselear, a far cry from his time on Saved by the Bell !!

 ...or one of my all time favorite shows, NYPD Blue.

Although I didn't expect to I am thoroughly enjoying this show. Then again I'm one who can suspend my belief system when watching tv. I don't judge the characters as harshly as I do real people.
