We learned tonight that Rick will be gone after episode five instead of the original seven.

I understand why Cindy killed the murderer of her brother in cold blood.  I wonder where the little girl is that was featured with Cindy in several episodes of previous seasons.

Ann is full of surprises.  She has my curiosity to the max by saying to Gabriel that if he stayed with her, they could have a life that he couldn't imagine, wonder if this has something to do with the helicopter which seems to be keeping track of her.

I thought Ann was part of Rick's group, but if she were, she wouldn't be trading people for food and supplies, so guess she is just out there on her own, a mysterious woman.

I don't remember ever seeing the guy who was in the wagon with Maggie.

So now Rick and Michonne are planning to bring new life into the world,  guess if that happens, she will be raising it without him.

I wonder if somehow Daryl will help Maggie get to Negan, since now Rick is aware of her on her way to Alexandria and thinks he knows why.

When Michonne burst out laughing in the first episode of this season, I realized that it was the first time I heard her laugh, ever, and she has a great laugh.  Now that I think of it, many have never laughed, but then there hasn't been much to laugh about.

I caught that remark too that Rick made to Michonne.  Can't understand anyone wanting to bring a child into such brutal world. Why would the writer's put that in when they know Rick is leaving?

@Lindsays Grandma  Same reason the writers had Lori and Maggie pregnant.

It's a sob story line.  One parent never sees the baby, dies, and the living parent is left bereaved.

Michonne pregnant with Rick dead is going to be the biggest sob story regarding pregnancies.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 9

Never ever ever say "no exceptions" in front of Daryl and Maggie.

The guy in the wagon with Maggie may be the same guy who worked the wall at Hilltop.  In one episode he yelled "Saviors are coming!"  Kal maybe?

Rick pouring the Bisquick but did he make a pancake?

Don't trust Anne or Jadis.   She used Gabriel for an alibi that night.

Maybe Rick will be the "A' that Jadis trades for supplies.

So Maggie is going to see Negan.   Is it time to put the children to bed or look at the flowers?

I thought Anne classified Gabriel as a :"B".

@software  I don't think Rick made a pancake. Why bring a baby into the storyline? Michonne will have Judith to take care of. And if Michonne is pregnant, will she be carrying the baby for 2-3 seasons like Maggie did? LOL!

Anne/Jadis is really a fascinating character. I really hope we see more of her backstory. She's trading people for supplies, but what is the covert group doing with all the people they're getting from her?? Can't wait to see how this plays out.

I very much doubt that Maggie or Daryl will actually kill Negan. They dragged the 'all out war' storyline into the ground - no wonder they lost so many viewers. They really should've killed him off last season.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 9

I've said all along I thought Rick was going for a ride in the helicopter, so it makes sense that Ann trades him and he goes off the show.  Even though he hasn't said (because that would then give away whether he dies or not), but maybe he's leaving the door open for returning at some point.   I don't like the way Ann acts all innocent - she's sneaky as he** and I don't trust her.

Michonne will get pregnant - they need more kids running around the Apocalyse!

All of this strife is certainly keeping the show interesting.

@software  Good point, never thought of Rick.  This lends some excitement/suspense for the next two episodes.

Jadis/Ann can't be trusted, said that is the reason she couldn't be with Rick's group, no one trusted her, now we know why.

I hope we learn about the helicopter this season, maybe another group where Jadis came from originally, and they need an "A" person to barter for food, supplies, and who knows what.  Maybe this is a way for Rick to leave, but with the door left open that he may return one day, kidnapped instead of outright killed.

@kze  Just before she hit him, she said, "and I thought you were a "B."

Re: THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 9

Jadis was about to trade 12 people to Negan at Alexandria, then she agreed to 10, where Negan said "people are a resource".  This was just before Ezekiel showed up with Maggie and drove the Saviors off.

"A" has to be leader qualities and "B" follower qualities.

Rick, Negan are alpha quality.  She thought Gabirel was a "B" until he stepped up to her at the junkyard just before she knocked him out.  That would explain why  she "thought he was a B".

Rick has seen a helicopter ever since Season 1.  It would not be out of question that he is taken by the helicopter people; leaving room for his return next season or next year.

There has to be other communities, maybe even more advanced in terms of survivial.

Who else is now missing?  Heath?  His disappearance along with the camper he and Tara were in before she discovered Oceanside was left open, along with the card PPP.  And that camper showed up at the dump.

Re: THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 9

Next week is Rick's last episode.  From the previews, it appears that there are dream sequences.  I found it hard to figure out which are dreams and which are factual.  Hopefully it won't be that hard when we see the whole episode.

I'm in agreement with Carol to let the Saviors fend for themselves.  However, what's the chances they resort back to their old ways?

I wonder what happens when Maggie shows up at Alexandria?  How does she plan on getting to Negan to kill him?  I'm thinking she doesn't end up killing him and that's why she leaves (the show) with Hershel in tow.  She won't be able to stand living near him.

I hate that Darrell and Rick split up at the end - you could tell that Darrell didn't want to leave Rick.  Their last scene together was poignant.  Looking ahead, I can see Darrell carrying some guilt for Rick's demise.

I wonder how Michonne is going to handle Rick being gone?  She's a strong woman but how much death of loved ones can she take?  Negan's already breaking through that tough shell of hers and getting under her skin.

For that matter, how is everyone going to handle the loss of Rick (and then Maggie) from their leadership roles?  It's sure going to be tough to fill their shoes.
