With an older Paul Newman in what some have said is his best performance. He is a down-on-his-luck (due to alcoholism) lawyer

representing a victim of malpractice up against lawyer James Mason. An excellent courtroom drama with a very dramatic ending. Great film!

One of Newman's best, IMO. Will watch, again.

My favorite performance of his is Hud. Love that movie and Patricia Neal.

The Verdict , an excellent movie in all ways. Newman's performance is one of his best, had had many. Enjoy!

Just finished watching. Had never seen it before. Excellent movie, from start to finish.

If it were me (the attorney), I would have been freaking out with my witness gone missing and no other credible backup, yet his character kept his cool and plugged on. I did kinda suspect Charlotte Rampling was up to no good. She sure did look like Jacqueline Bissette in some scenes. Same era of actresses.

Paul Newman is one of those men who got better looking with age imo. I'll have to try and see if 'Sweet Bird of Youth' is On Demand to watch another day.
