Aaron Sorkin's critically acclaimed drama, THE NEWSROOM, returns to HBO in June.

In a recent interview, the creator of the series that's set in a fictional cable news network (that's very similar to CNN) promised a second season filled with more intriguing, compelling and provocative topics, as the team tackles RL events including the 2012 presidential election, the Trayvon Martin case, the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the SCOTUS decision on the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Among the new additions to the cast are Constance Zimmer, most recently seen on GREY'S ANATOMY as the consultant who attempted to sell struggling Seattle Grace-Mercy West Hospital to an investment group and Grace Gummer, Meryl Streep's RL daughter, who occasionally guest stars on SMASH as Angelica Huston's daughter, Katie.
