I was really sad at the end of this show. The cast is excellent especially Freddie. I don't understand why it was cancelled, thought the viewer numbers were pretty good.

Many shows end for various reasons other than cancelled due to low ratings. Some actors just think it is time to move on and some writers feel like they are done too.

Why did they cancel The Good Doctor?

"According to a report by Deadline at the time, The Good Doctor — as well as other series like Young Sheldon, Station 19, and SEAL Team — were all canceled after their seventh seasons in January 2024 due to declining viewership and increased financial pressure in the linear TV business"

As far as series finales go, I thought it was very good, It was sad, it was happy, we got a glimpse into the future. There was only one thing I would have changed, but I guess it was inevitable.

Park & Morgan adopted baby was a "toddler" 10 years in the future?  Plus, she was not in the audiance although everyone else children were there.

Dr. Marcus Andrews was another MIA 10 years into the future.

Great ending.  Glad it's over.

I would love to rewatch episodes of the show if they ever end up on cable, especially the first few seasons.

@Jordan2  I was just thinking that.  It's possible.
