I  haven't watched Noir Alley in a while, @Judaline , and the most recent offerings didn't sound good to me either.

Unfortunately, the supply of really great noir is finite, and I think poor Eddie has to 'salt in' some less worthies, and out and out clinkers, with the better ones!

He's good, though, and whenever he shows something promising, I'll be there.  There are some pretty discouraging dry periods though.  Good time to watch retro TV, like "The Fugitive"!

Actually, the movie is on right now, starring Harrison

Ford. Really good movie.

The David Janssen Fugitive made me think of something a comedian once said: ".......quicker than a David Janssen smile." Had me in stitches at the time. (because it was so true, hahaha)

I hated that movie.

I may be the only one but I'm ready for the final episode of Season 1.

@Tique. I hated that movie too. Saw reluctantly once out of curiosity and hated it. There is only one Fugitive (DJ,) and only one Lt Gerard, Barry Morse. They own those roles!

I was annoyed that they made that film, but did watch it in a fairly detached way, as though it didn't have any relationship to the real, TV Fugitive...

It did have some strengths, in my opinion, just as a standard, fast paced suspense movie.  Tommy Lee Jones has tremendous energy as an actor, and his performances are often arresting or amusing.

But, bear with us, @Judaline .   We diehard TV series "Fugitive" fans really can brook no imitators, film or TV.  They even had the nerve to launch a short-lived TV copy, with Tim Daly (who I normally have liked.)  We were not amused, ha.

I know just where you're coming from. I have seen movies/tv shows where they had the audacity to

make one or the other over, when I loved the original.

You know, like remaking a movie. I just can't believe the

nerve of some people!

I will tread softly where The Fugitive tv show is mentioned on our boards. I did like the movie but I

can still see that cop who chased DJ all over the place every single week. Just like it was yesterday.

@Judaline. Amazingly Barry Morse was not in all that many episodes, although it certainly did seem like he was chasing Kimble every week.

@Oznell. Oh groaner! Tommy Lee Jones' performances were often "arresting." 🙄😄
