I accidentally caught The Falcon Out West (1944) this morning on TCM.  I loved it.  Interesting and even somewhat sophisticated, it still didn't take itself too seriously, as I believe is the theme of all the Falcon series of movies. I'm going to have to watch more of them.

You can see this one on Youtube.  If you don't want to watch the whole thing, at least check out a few minutes in which you will get to see Barbara Hale, whom we all know from later years as Della Street, Perry Mason's secretary and right hand, perform a bit of derring-do as she stops a runaway stage coach.  The horses start running at about 13 minutes in and Barbara is first seen at 14.30.  I think you'll love seeing her like this.

And not too long afterward, she is in a peasant top and a wonderful sequined floor length skirt.  Great clothing in this movie.

I also watched it this morning and noticed Barbara Hale.  It took me a few minutes to figure out where I'd seen her.  I enjoy TCM on Sat mornings (around 10:00 am) because they usually show the older mystery movies/detective stories.  I've been watching The Falcon for a few weeks.  Glad to find someone else who enjoys it.  :-)

Thank you so much!  I love The Falcon series and I am trying to record all of these in case I miss them.  Barbara Hale looked great in her role this morning and I do want to see her in The Falcon in Hollywood.
