THE FACE: "The Fight To Make The Final 12"

What happens when you take AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL and cross it with THE VOICE (plus elements of AMERICAN IDOL and THE X-FACTOR) thrown in for good measure? You get THE FACE, competitive reality TV's newest entry.

Can you say "vapid"? Can you say "stupifying"? Can you say, "hasta la vista, baby!"?

This mish-mosh for 24 model wannabes - all with compelling, heart-wrenching "can you top this" backstories of bad childhoods and other tragic life circumstances - has teams led by "Supermodel icons" (their words, not mine) Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha. "Supermodel Coaches" must be the ultimate oxymoron. FACE is hosted by former ANTM judge and Tyra Banks' buddy, Nigel Barker.

It's like an hour-long SNL skit that hideously unfunny; a proverbial train wreck.

If THE FACE doesn't put the final nail in Reality TV's coffin, nothing will.
