THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM movie

[ Edited ]

I'm watching the The Biggest Little Farm today (DVD from Netflix).

It's the story of a couple's (John Chester, a wildlife photographer, and his wife Molly, a chef) first eight years in establishing an organic farm from one at which they could not even dig an inch into the depleted soil. The farm is called Apricot Lane and is about an hour north of Los Angeles.

The interrelationships between domestic and wild are fascinating, and you are almost taken by the hand with them on their journey.

It was touching that they said it all started because of a promise they made to their dog, that their home would be his last home.

Joy and sorrow in almost equal measure.  A bit of boredom, too, if you will, although for me maybe that was because it got a little tense.  That may sound contradictory, but it'll make sense as you watch.  Overall, it's well worth your time.

This is Todd, the dog who started it all:

Re: THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM movie

Yes, this is a wonderful movie!  I actually had the pleasure of watching it this past July on a Virgin Atlantic flight to London.  It really is a very heartwarming story and I highly recommend it, too!  I would love to visit the farm in person someday.
