TV and Movies

I went to see this movie yesterday and it is charming.  It stars Kumail Nanjiani, a Pakistani comedian and Zoe Kazan.  I am not a big Rom Com fan but I saw an interview on Charlie Rose about the film.  It is based on a true story.  Ray Romano is also in it.

I thought it was wonderful. Plus Holly Hunter!

It is definitely NOT a comedy, we went thinking it would be a comedy, and given my husband past illness, it depressed him greatly

@Sooner I can't stand the way she talks.  I'll avoid a movie with her in it.  Why does she move her mouth that way?  Is it a lisp?  I don't know, but it drives me nuts.

I saw this movie on a long flight.  What a pleasant surprise.

I'm no fan of Holly Hunter but even she couldn't ruin this movie.

I thought it was a comedy too.

I didn't like it at first - I wound up really enjoying it.  Ray Romano is wonderful.

Holly Hunter, nominated multiple times for Academy Awards, only won for the role in which she was mute (The Piano).  That should tell you something.
