@feline groovy Thank you for reminding me.

I LOVE The Bear.

It's an odd show, but the characters are so great.

Luckily I will only watch when my husband can watch with me, so I won't sit down & finish it too quickly!

@feline groovy thanks for the reminder.

How wonderful that all the episodes are dropping at once. Looks like the perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday.

Re: 'THE BEAR' drops TONIGHT ar 9 PM

I only watched the first episode and would appreciate if someone would answer a question for me (i wouldn't consider it a spoiler, but will put in a spoiler box just in case)

Spoiler
Was the episode hard to hear? I honestly don't know if it was my streaming device or the episode itself intentionally being so.  Thank you.

@Alter Ego :

If you're referring to 'Tomorrow' (season 3 episode 1), yep!

I think it was due to the music.

It's normally in the background but was more in the foreground this time.

Plus the type of music also made the small amount of dialogue harder to hear.

I agree it might have been intentional for this particular episode's storyline.

Re: 'THE BEAR' drops TONIGHT ar 9 PM

@feline groovy  Thank you for confirming.  I guess I would have figured it out when I watched the next episode, but I was tired and couldn't find anything commenting on it specifically online.  Just saw regular recaps, but I obviously could have overlooked.  I frankly had some difficulty logging on to my streaming. I also have an old TV and wondered if it was finally going (some things I keep until they don't work anymore and my TV is one such thing!)

I didn't like it because it was repetitive and you needed to actively watch/listen. I almost put on the closed captioning. LOL

thanks again!

I'm struggling half-heartedly with this season.

All the yelling back and forth seems to be out of control even though the arguing wasn't subtle before.

The back and forth taunting with "f" adds nothing new and distracts from each episode.

And the first episode this season was bizarre.

I've found that reading a few recaps after each episode really helps me understand it better, appreciate it more, and find things I might have missed.

Great news that HULU is dropping all episodes all at once. I've kept my HULU account active in anticipation of the return of The Bear. For me, it's right up there with those shows that are in their own superior category (The Soprano's, Breaking Bad...). Once I watch this season, I'll probably cancel HULU and then reactivate an account once the Handmaid's Tale comes back. Can't wait for that one too.
