What a lineup!  Including the 1934 Cleopatra with Claudette Colbert, the same year she made It Happened One Night.

Then Camille, Waterloo Bridge, Queen Christina (Garbo's best, IMO), Anna Karenina, The Way We Were, Brief Encounter and Kramer v. Kramer.  Get out the Kleenex and enjoy!!

Brief Encounter, a gem of a little British film.

Kramer  v Kramer for Valentine's Day?  OY that's depressing. The Way We Were isn't the cheeriest either.

@Pearlee  The Way We Were might not be the cheeriest, but it sure is a love story.

The connecting theme for Valentines Day appears to be "doomed romances"  especially considering the fates of female characters in Anna Karenina, Waterloo Bridge, Cleopatra, Camille, Romeo & Juliet......

Perhaps not the most traditional fare for the holiday, but an interesting take.

Queen Christina and Brief Encounter are the only films of interest to me. The former is enjoyable to view, and I've never seen the latter but understand it's a wonderful movie.
